Ron is especially interested in what it takes to produce impossible results in life – results beyond the imaginable and predictable.
During Ron's early career he taught science at Brigham Young University in Utah and worked as a Research Engineer at the University of California in Berkeley. He taught High School, was a School Counselor and Educational Psychologist before becoming a high school Principal and Superintendent of a private school system in California.
Over the past thirty years, Ron has studied successful educational models around the world. As part of his commitment to be at the cutting-edge of human development, Ron worked in Educational Research at the Behavioral Sciences Foundation in Carmel, California. He studied education through the consciousness raising model with Paulo Freire in Guinea-Bissau, Africa, as well as the example of Vocational Schooling in Gandhi's Schools in India.
As a recognized Business Consultant, Executive Coach and Trainer, Ron has shaped the transformation of CEOs, sports and movie stars, foreign dignitaries, prisoners, gang members and individuals from virtually all cultures and walks of life. He has directed programs for Youth at Risk, Business Productivity, the Psychology of Human Potential and the Acceleration of Human Learning. In 1992 he worked with the Soviet Educational Society in Moscow, training leaders to produce results in the face of their extreme social reorganization. He has personally trained more than 250,000 people throughout the world.
In 1992, Ron was diagnosed with an aggressive, terminal cancer. Using the principles he teaches in the Fenix Event, he was able to avoid surgery and traditional treatment, rid his body of the ailment and elevate himself to new levels of health, fitness and vitality.
At 64 years of age, and as a further expression of his commitment to achieving the impossible, Ron decided to become a champion in extraordinary physical disciplines. With no prior experience, other than his passion for taking on impossible projects, Ron ran and won first-place in his division of the 100-mile Wasatch Endurance Race over the mountains of Utah. He has subsequently completed numerous long-distance endurance runs, including the Grand Canyon, Machu Pichu in Peru, and the Annapurna Range in the Himalayan Mountains.
In 2004, Ron took up power lifting and by 2006, at 72 years of age, had won the U.S. National Championship in his weight and age division. Ron has now broken three U.S. National Men's Records and recently won first place in his division of the 2006 World Championship Competition in Power Lifting. |
